The term Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yuj’, referring to the root, the source of all that is divine. The theory and practice of Yoga has been passed down from the great sage Patanjali for our evolution and enlightenment. Patanjali defined an eight limb system for Yoga, encompassing the union of body, mind and spirit, guiding seekers to experience sat chit ananda (truth, knowledge & bliss). Through the practice of yoga we are able to embrace our true identity, living in connection to the supreme and in harmony with all beings.
Yoga Paramgati courses are for those of us that seek to transform on all levels. Yoga Paramgati offers a holistic program to elevate the awareness of it’s students to the supreme destination within all of us, a path to the authentic Self. Embracing all eight limbs of yoga, Yoga Paramgati students learn that yoga is a way of life; it doesn’t just happen on the mat. Sudevi Sundari delivers teachings from the Yoga sutras, Hatha Yoga and Kundalini, continuing the transmission of yoga from guru to student.
Sudevi Sundari has been a student of Yoga since 1992 with over 20 years of teaching experience. In 1998, she was initiated into the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Sampradaya yoga lineage by her Guru HH Jayapataka Swami. She has studied many different styles of yoga and therapy from Satyananda, Yoga Hari, Kundalini and Transformational Yoga, making her teaching well rounded in all 8 limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga System.
In 2013 she was awarded her Grand Master Hatha Yogini initiation and registered under Yoga Alliance International. She teaches 200hrs and 500hrs Certified Internationally Teacher’s Training Courses, that are available in Australia, Hong Kong, India and the UK.
She has a love for teaching and sharing her knowledge with those who really want to understand the real meaning of Yoga. For her, the practice yoga means to connect to the Self, and ultimately the Divine, bringing us to the last limb of Yoga called Samadhi. Through her own practice of Sadhana, Sudevi now dedicates her time to creating courses that not only facilitate inner transformation within her students, but prepares them to become Yoga teachers that deliver a holistic yoga practice for students.
